Forums - General - Bus driver uppercuts annoying girl.

Did you see that form? Did you see his execution?! It was amazing.

I side with the bus driver. If you strike a man as a woman, all bets are off. Same rule applies for any gender really, but I'm sure the feminist are gonna slaughter the guy on the telly. I can only hope he only loses his job and gets no time but that's wishful thinking in our society. I think he had the right to maintain control in the bus, even if brute force had to be used. If it were up to me, he would keep his job.

Should violence always be solved with more violence? No, the uppercut was not necessary but goddamn did she deserve it.

What the hell is wrong with you all not condemning this?

No matter what kind of loudmouth she was and what insults she yelled it was wrong to punch her. And to punch her that hard on a first strike, it's totally disgraceful. It was pure luck that she was able to stand up so quickly, she might as well have fallen unconscious.

I will say it is funny that most of society that comments on these message boards or on these youtube videos would applaude this. But when it comes down to it in real life and court he will be the one in trouble most likely. Are internet people not decision makers in real life? Do we not have a voice?

She did push him first, so i doubt he'll get charged with assault. If anything it would be ruled a fight, but since he did it in capacity of his job he'll probably be fired. Though she could have added endangerment charges of some sort for interfering with public transportation.

Yeah, I think they're both in the wrong here.  She should be prosecuted pretty hard on more than one count, but the driver did come after her to turn it into a fight.  All he had to do was park the bus and call the police and she would have been in deep trouble.  He probably should be fired for not handling the situation in the correct manner, I'm sure there are guidelines.

However, I have no sympathy for the girl.  Once you begin a physical altercation, you've just waived any social immunities you might otherwise have.  Women are not children, they don't get to assault someone without consequence.  Equality is not a one way street.

He clearly went over the top in his response, however. I would say he was justified in forcibly ejecting her from the bus, but that uppercut beforehand clearly crossed a line.

What should have happened, after it was clear that she was determined to be disruptive, is that he should have stopped the bus, called the dispatch for a replacement bus, and told everyone to get off. That's what happened one time when someone started verbally abusing a bus driver when i was riding a bus once in Washington, DC.

If a woman puts her hand on you you have all rights to fight back, simple.

This. Equality cuts both ways.
You want to be an equal, you have to take the bad as well as the good.

she hit him first, when she hit him he could have crashed that bus and killed everyone.. your right... he should have knocked her out! for the safety of the passengers.

Last time I checked no one had the right to punch anyone (again, apart from self-defense). I mean, just because a guy robs your house that doesn't give you the right to rob his house. I understand that he was frustrated, but he should have chosen a more civilized course of action here.

It is always important to be a better example.
