@Crazzy: Acroding to vgchartz it sold 230k in America. Japan is at least 9k (probably much more, there was info about 9k soon after release). So around 650 is minnimum. But probably more as it doesn't include American downloads.

1) Global servers could very well mean that 400k is the total worldwide, which would be right in line with Ioi's figures

2) Wouldn't anyone renting this game also create a unique account? That could be a lot of people.

3) I'm not sure if Ioi even tries to track online sales, so his ~400k could be for hard copies only, which could even mean this game is overtracked

All of those are serious issues with the methodology here, and I'm not sure we can get answers for any of them save the last.  

I know its 412 in europe because mine says 637k.

 3) I'm 98% positive Ioi does not track downloads.  There is just no good methodollogy for it without access to historical download data.

No mine is U.S only, his is europe. Those are downloads-disc copies sold.

Or rented. Or borrowed. Or purchased and then re-sold.

Wouldn't unique PSN IDs create two separate connections? In that case, you could also have multiple connections from the same PS3 using different names.
