Animal Crossing is leading amazon sales right now
Followed by Layton vs Ace Attorney and Mario U
Bravery Defaulto Frying Fairy in number 6.
If we think about it, Wii U is making a splash with HD remastered versions of last gen games - MH3 and DQX - which were done in gamecube level tech (not exactly but you get my point). And a 2D Mario that doesn't surprise at all.
I'm not downplaying this line-up, mind you, I'm just baffled how in this day and age people seem to complain so much about graphics and modernization of games and yet a console launching with these 3 games proves that gamers truly don't know what they want.

Japan is fairly consistent in choosing franchises they like over big budget graphics.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Wii U will do well in Japan, but I'm kind of curious what Nintendo has up their sleeves for the 1st half of 2013 there.
I guess Dragon Quest X unfortuantely it's an MMO. Pikmin 3/Wonderful 101/Game & Wario are ok, but not really system sellers.
NSMBU and Nintendo Land will be long tail products and I would guess a 3D Mario and Mario Kart 8 are coming for the second half of 2013, but that period in between could be important.
