Because a secondary pet peeve of mine is Nintendo children that play down every mature 360/PS3 game, no matter how influential they were to their respective genres.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

masterpiece is one thing and a great game is another! GOW in my opinion is just "great" not a masterpiece!

Well 2 and 3 lost the luster of the newness of part 1. But part 1 really put TPS on the map, perfected a cover system that is now used and built upon today, a beautiful art style of "destroyed beauty", really the first true next gen title for the 360 showcasing what it was capable of, and the little things like introducing a chainsaw on an assault rifle. :)

But hey, agree to disagree i guess.

I thought there would be more (ex-) WoW players here who get it. But at least someone got it. Now I don't feel so bad anymore^^

I'm just pissed off at the last game but I shouldn't let it bring down the other two. when I finished the game i was like... that's it? but that's just me

yeah I agree that the first game brought new stuff which where really cool and fresh at the time!

Of course they worked.

But that doesnt mean they were great. Playing that now on N64 would be like chewing my fingernails.

Gears Of War defined the TPS genre.  With all TPS games practically copying its movement/controls.

How so? Microsoft has done nothing, and can't do nothing, to Epic. As Epic isn't their studio.
