Gears of War is a masterpiece! say whatever you want the game is sublime, the mechanics, the graphics, the story, the guns and how they feel, the gameplay, the action, the sclae. everything.

Im not sure but something is clearly going on. Lots of their top talent is leaving and loosing Cliff is a HUGE blow for Epic

it is a masterpiece for the tps genre. if you don't like it it's ok but don't try to tell millions of people they are wrong who will say that. there is not only one game better in my opinion if you want to play as example co-op with friends, for that experience alone it is a masterpiece

Interesting. Lately Cliffy B has expressed his love for deeper, less linear and less cinematic games and his love for open world games like Skyrim.

I am hoping for a Jaffe-like change of mentality when it comes to game design (gameplay over style).

It's being co developed by people can fly, so the game shouldn't be affecte too badly hopefully.

It is pretty strange that so many key people are leaving Epic all at once, I hope they survive, they have made so many iconic games, it would be a shame for them to collapse. 

So, with the departing talent clearly devaluing epic, one could say....

lmao what has Jaffe made?  Twisted Metal and God of War which are old.  So as I said, what has he made that is gameplay over graphics?  Cliffy B defined the TPS genre with Gears, made Unreal Tournament, and Jazz Jackrabbit.  Gears would have never been the same without Cliff.  IMagine Gears without the lancer

They will do just fine. HOwever Gears was Cliff and Rod's game so idk about gears.
