Forums - Gaming - Resident Evil 6 executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi says developer "can't be beholden" to fans, who may not always agree on what's best for the series.

Fans overstep their mark in my opinion, there's airing an opinion and being a fan but some people think this gives them the right to Run the game. NO It's up to the makers (key word there, MAKERS) to decide what to do. The fans are either to love it or lump it.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Stupid Capcom! they say "we do listen to the fans" really? if they really do they wouldn't made a crap game like this that's trying to be Uncharted/Gears of War. You guys remember Resident Evil 4? WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND!!!!

THIS!

We'll see if it works out for them. Their intent is to expand the appeal of the series; in a few months we'll be able to say if they're on that track.

It'll only take a few weeks for that..

If RE6 can't reach 5 million units by the end of the year, there's no way they're gonna ship 7 million in their lifetime.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I feel like boycotting this game. It would be akin to withholding sex from your spouse until you get what you want.

On the contrary, it seems like RE6 was a product created specifically for what Capcom thought their audience wanted. A little bit of individual vision and direction probably could have done wonders for the game.

Not at all. After 18 months on the market, RE5 had moved something like 6 million units - it's now sitting at just under 8. All indications to the contrary notwithstanding, it's a series that has shown itself to have some serious legs, even if the body of htose legs are down to the Gold Edition.

It is this sentiment of entitlement that gamers have developed I have never seen anything like it.People have made themselves so invested in these games or the console war that they kinda go crazy.

"Capcom expects to Resident Evil 6 to sell 7 million copies, becoming the publisher's best-selling title in its history."

It may sell great, but I really doubt it´ll become Capcom´s best-selling title ever...if by any chance it does, I´ll be extremely (in a negative way) surprised.
