Gt have show to be bias idiots far ti many times for any more bs vids to change anything.
Untill they get two 1080p tvs set up to the best setting possible for each console then the results recorded with a hd camera all their comparos and bs.

So you're saying that a GT comparison video discredits the argument that GT comparison videos lack credibility? Do I really need to point out the irony of that?

That little fact is lost on most people on here.
Actually component is pretty damn good, HDMI doesn't mean better video. It just means that the box is sending a digital signal. Depending on the make and model of TV a component signal may look better or an HDMI signal might look better. For TV watching it seems on most TV's component is preferred. Most likely because the video has a softer look to it that's more natural (depending on the TV). This debate about what's better for the PS3 is obviously silly as the difference in quality was going to be pretty unnoticeable by most people anyway. HDMI is a good way to get you to buy another cable ;)
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
This is not what people asked for.
I want to see this done with Assassin's Creed or another multiplatform game.

Yeah, they should use an HD camera instead of a capture card. That will give us the best results possible so we can deal with screen glare, ambient light, etc.

Waitaminute... So you're entirely basing your opinion of the legitimacy of the GT capture off a 480x340 YouTube video shot on a camcorder?
ROFL!
I actually tested this the other day and the GT video is spot-on... There's a difference but it's not a big one. The blacks are a little richer and the colors a little more vibrant.

Nah, just earning VG$ ... lol ...
I enjoy component and see no need to upgrade to HDMI just yet ...

Hus? You both have the same lack of grammar and spelling comprehension.
@rukusa
The point of this video was to show that there wouldn't be a massive obvious upgrade as many people would have you believe. I saw very little difference in this video between component and HDMI. The most glaring differences didn't come in till the end when they were in the dark and the vibrant fire was different between the two outputs. If they recorded both in HDMI the results probably wouldn't change drastically.
@iclim4
What do you mean you can't adjust the brightness on capture cards? I have a pathetic old card that can only take composite and i can adjust brightness quite easily.

Im still not convinced. Take it as you will, but I feel kind of suspicious that they chose a Sony game that has probably been fully optimized for the hardware as an easy way out of the conflict.
If this was say, a game like Assassin's Creed or such as I mentioned before, then I would've agreed.
However HDMI was no the only issue here, the lacking use of "super white" or "RGB full" was what people were raving about.
And there is a difference with those settings added to HDMI.
At least if GT continues to do this with multiplatform games then I will be satisfied, and glad that GT is making effort to promote right information.
Hope the next comparison showcases a video with a multiplatform games with a similiar procedure.
"I'm still not convinced. "
Me neither. The problem with the comparison videos is that the PS3 version looks much brighter and washed out and PS3 games and Assassin's Creed specifically do not look like this on my TV. They are pretty dark with sated colors. So I don't know what they do but it is weird and this video doesn't help.
