Actually component is pretty damn good, HDMI doesn't mean better video. It just means that the box is sending a digital signal. Depending on the make and model of TV a component signal may look better or an HDMI signal might look better. For TV watching it seems on most TV's component is preferred. Most likely because the video has a softer look to it that's more natural (depending on the TV). This debate about what's better for the PS3 is obviously silly as the difference in quality was going to be pretty unnoticeable by most people anyway. HDMI is a good way to get you to buy another cable ;)
