I have been wanting a Wii for a very long time, and have not been able to buy one(I am now just going to wait until May, when I graduate, but if I see one before then... it is mine)

 Well the story.. I went to the mall to go to Kay Jewelers to price how much a shank would cost me for the diamond I recently purchased. Anyways, I did my ceremonial walk into gamespot and ask if they knew when they were getting their next shipment of Wiis... When I ask her she said they had ONE! At that point I did some quick math and realized that I only had 240 dollar left in my account(after the 1500 dollar diamond purchase) I back away from the counter and called my dad and asked him to put 40 bucks into my account... by the time I got off the phone and I turned around 2 OLD GEEZERS were buying the Wii!!! The clerk walk them over to the games section to show them what came in the box.... I have never been so tempted to steal in my life!!!!!!!! She just left it laying on the counter.. agony.....

I stood there for 5 minutes and witnessed 11 people(who apparently called) come in and find out it had been sold mintutes before...

In recap they recieved 6 wiis and they were gone in less then 30 min... no sign in window or anything...

I was SOOOOO mad.... The happy ending is I went to kay, and it would have cost me 270 for the band I wanted but I told the lady I only had 230 or so after getting the diamond and since she was the store owner, she hooked me up : ).

I don't think demand for a product have EVER been like this in history... yea there were the tickle me elmos, but that was 1 christmas.... this is insane!!! 14months and sold out EVERYWHERE!!

well now I have 4.45 cents in my account, and it will be at least 3 weeks before I have enough to get a Wii... I am gonna save up so I can buy a week when SSBB comes out... Nintendo is gonna unleash a couple hundred thousand for that week!

Wii is great fun, but you should probably wait til you have a little more money to spend hehe.

Good luck finding one! I got my Wii by making my dad wake up at 2 AM and drive me to Target. There he left me as I stood with a growing amount of people in line. This was in January 2007. Luckily for me, I was the 12th person in line and Target had gotten 15 Wiis.

An obscure store in my hometown had 3 Wiis sitting on their selves for weeks.  Not because no one wanted them, but because noone knew they were there.
