Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) today announced that the Comic Store for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) available from the PlayStation®Store (PS Store) will no longer be available after October 30, 2012.

After this date users will be unable to purchase comic content from the PS Store's Comic Store. Where licenses permit, previously purchased or downloaded content will still be available for download until mid- January 2013. After this date users will no longer be able to re-download any previously purchased content. You can, however back up your content using Media Go.

I think they announced that there would be no more updates for it, not sure if they actually said it was closing back then.

Yes. It was a simple service with decent content. It did offer mediocre free downloads.

I liked this store, but it obviously wasn't popular. Hopefully it will come to the Vita eventually. It was the best digital comics book store ever. You got to read Superman #1 for £2 lol

That's kinda cheese with what they're doing and pulling content off of servers for people who purchased them.

The reason I still have my PSP is because of a few purchases that I can't port to my Vita and the fact that I have well over 300 comics I purchased for the PSP--many of them were in the $4.00 range. I'd go on a PSP comic spree purchasing $50-$75 at random. It pissed me off that I'd invested in some storylines and I couldn't even see how they turned out. Now, this. Soon, I won't even be able to redownload stuff if I ever delete or lose my memory card or Vita.

Guess I'd better make some back-up data on my PC.

I still say try to get your Marvel stuff checked out and put into a Marvel account.  Worse that'll happen is that they'll say no.
