It starts out really slow, because everything takes a while to die until you get a better ship fleet. It's my favorite Single Player RTS.

Starcraft 2, and Supreme Commander (when it actually had a community, were my favorite multiplayer ones.

sc2 is all u need in life tho so get good at that :D

World in Conflict is good.

Why not turn based? CIV is awesome, XCOM enemy unknown demo was great as well.

Halo Wars is very good and I hear Sins of a Solar Empire is good.

It's like all the best bits of an RTS ever made mixed with all the best bits or a turn based.

Total war series. ALL OF IT!!!!!!!

I like turn based also, but its been awhile since i was into them, my favorite being Alpha Centari (Sp?) I just get into phases where i really like agenre and right now its RTS's. Before it was Shooters, before tha it  was RPG's, etc. IAlthough I do mix it up when I can. Civ is one I want to check out when I feel like turn based again.

I really enjoyed ahlo wars. After kinect came out i was sure they would make aother one but sadly they haven't :( Sins of a Solar EMpire was one i have been reading about also. I will check that one out too.

I think that will be the third one I check! So Anno, Sins of a Solar Empire, and Empire II. That should keep me busy for awhile. Thanks for the suggestions guys

Edit: So Anno is a little to expensive for me right now. I will wait for a price drop or sale. Empire Earth II is only 9.99 on gog.com if any else is looking to get it. Sins of a Solar Empire is 19.99 on steam so i will get that too

Yup you must definitely check the Empire Earth series, and you could also have a look at The Settlers. I've tried III and II, a lot of people argue that the latter is the best one of the series. Nostalgia makes me prefer III.
