In Australia Ive seen these deals so far-

The 12gig ps3 advertised for $249 and $379 for the 500gig with 2 dual shocks and God of War 3 at Kmart.

At Target the 500gig with 2 dual shocks and and a choice of either Uncharted Drakes Fortune or Modnation Racers for $369. They have this advertised as a total value of $502.95. I don't know how true that is but its bound to catch peoples eyes.

So PS3 will have sold roughly 18.48k? Calculated this according to VGC's PS3 numbers for the week ending 22 Sept so I could be off.

Could be a really big week for PS3 then, dont know why im surprised a new SKU always does that for a console, i just didnt feel it this time. Interested to see what the UK retailers go with on price for the 12GB model, Sony have said the cost price to retailers is less than the old 160gb model, but there letting retailers set the retail price.

Is that a fact or you made that up?

And will they soon discontinue the 160GB and 320GB?

In the netherlands there are a lot of temporary pricuts on the older models and bundels.. you can get ps3 160gb with fifa 13 for 255 euros.. ps3 320gb + move starter pack + sorcery for 275.. (which is cheaper then  the new PS3 12gb with move starters pack and sportchampions 2 at 290 euro)

You are right, you prompted me to check Swedish prices and it does seem like the 320GB models have been dropped by around 20-30 Euros on average (not that we have to use Euros here, hehe).

And curiously the new models seem very expensive. Are they asking 299 Euros for the 500GB (official recommended price)??? Because usually the price in Euros is the same as in Dollars (500GB PS3 in USA is $269) but it doesn't look like it when I study the new Swedish prices.

I think Sony have screwed up with the super slim, those sales are ok but could have been so much better. A decent price cut on the super slim, with a slash in price of the outgoing model.

As for people trading current slim for super slim, why? Its a step down, but if you can see any benefit please reply.
