Forums - PC - Awful Crysis and UT III Sales

It's not...some people think these 2 games are the biggest PC games though...which is stupid.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I've played the crysis demo just because I could on my new pc I built last weekend, and yeah, other than drooling over the graphics, the gameplay is 2nd rate, and it just isn't that much fun. A generally bad game isn't going to sell well, no matter what platform it is sold on. It was nice being able to actually play it though...it would have been a slideshow on my old PC, I was able to play it on all high (not very high, havent tried that yet) and it was perfect. Only 1280x1024, but that is how I play all my games. True though, if this game didn't have the amazing visuals, no one would be talking about it right now.

I personally think crytek built an engine they wanted to sell, and to do so they needed to slap together a game to run on it....and then there was CRYSIS!

Currently Playing:

PS4 - Killzone:SF and Assasins Creed 4

XBox One: BF4, CoD:Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5

Changing channels with my voice: priceless!!!

If Crysis is worried about bad sales why would they even think about porting it to PS3 and not the XBox 360?

America = Best Gaming Console

Europe = Best Game Developers

I honestly don't think they are worried about poor sales, the area they were looking to make a profit in is selling the engine not the game. And game sales will increase as more people get new video cards I would expect. I'm pretty sure I'll be picking the game up just to try it out.

When crysis comes out at max quality at 60fps on the ps3, and crytek say " This is just the beginning there is alot more potential" I will shoot myself.

So, you will shoot yourself, and then come back from beyond to hunts us???

Leoj, there is no such potential to run Crysis at Max, Crytek have stated this before...

@FJ

They stated this on pc. Not on the ps3, they know nothing of the ps3's architecture.

Careful leo, sqrl was temporarily banned for a suicidal message before.

When lair comes out at max quality at 60fps on the wii, and factor 5 say " This is just the beginning there is alot more potential" I will ... be happy.

Please go ahead and tell me how ridiculous that statement is.  It is no different than yours.

Plain and simple, Crysis can't run at full potential on the PS3.  End of discussion.  The cell is quite amazing and i'm sure due to it Crysis could be better than any 360 port but even the cell can't spontaneously change itself and the rest of the PS3 hardware to accomodate the kind of hardware Crytek would need to do what you want.  Give it up already.

Microsoft's decision to not have a hard drive in the core and arcade is a HUGE technical reason. They also have a limited optical drive which adds to the problem.

^yeah alot of games will suffer cause of that

I'm sure they know far more than you.
