Let's see Wii U with gamepad (premium system) $350. Vita plus PS3 $500. Not really in the same ballpark is it?
Maybe if Sony gave away a Vita with every PS3, but then I already have a PS3.
Normally for me there wouldn't be a decision to make. Historically I've bought all the systems since PS1/N64 but times have changed and I just don't have the cash.

rigth now is too dificult to show why the Wii U is so different to Ps3 + Vita because there are no games in our hands to play and fully understand his potential, and it is an obvius factor that the first wave of games except for Miiplaza are not going to show us that potential.

This is a pretty complex discussion. The Wii-U is fairly simple in how it works and we know almost everything about its capabilities. The vita/ps3 however is way more complex with strange terms such as cross-play, cross-save, remote-play, and cross-controller all being misused and jumbled into one. In addition we have had very little hands on demos with the technology. I've kept up with the Vita since it was first rumored and hopefully can better explain Sony's side of the story.
Cross-play
Cross-play is the ability for a Vita player to play against a PS3 player online. This is nothing like the Wii-U because the Wii-U gamepad is not a stand alone system. Cross-play was available at launch with Wipeout 2048 and was announced back when it was still called the NGP. Things get slightly more complex when the Vita player is in the same room as the PS3. All of a sudden Wii-U like gameplay is possible such as with PSASBR. So far though cross-play has stayed true to its roots and is not deviating from online multiplayer shared between both systems.
Cross-save
This feature is another one not possible on the Wii-U since it is nothing like the Wii-U. Cross-save allows a gamer to be playing on the PS3 and seamlessly transfer the game over to the Vita for out of the house gameplay. When the gamer returns home he can reverse the process and keep playing on the PS3 where he left off on the Vita. This is similar to the Wii-U working when the TV is off however the game is actually playing on the Vita instead of being streamed.
Remote-play
Remote-play existed all the way back with the PSP allowing gamers to connect their handheld to the PS3 either over the internet or locally. With the Vita having all the necessary buttons it can play PS3 content and games however this feature is very limited with few games supporting it. This feature is exactly the same as playing a Wii-U with the TV off except the Vita is not limited to be within 24 feet of the PS3. The difference is that not all PS3 features are supported and the data transfers at a slower speed.
Cross-controller
Finally I am talking about the actual Wii-U like experience on the Vita/PS3. Cross-controller allows a Vita to hook up to a PS3 game and be used as a controller. This replicates the Wii-U experience in theory and was first shown off at TGS 2011 with asymmetric gameplay of LBP2. Recently it is being demoed with LBP2 which is what has started this whole Wii-U verse Vita/PS3 debate. The connection between the Vita and PS3 is local and not using WiFi as many people claim. This means the data transfer between the two systems is almost instantaneous similar to the Wii-U. Right now only one game is coming that supports this, LBP2.
So theoretically going by the hardware both the Wii-U and Vita/PS3 are very similar and capable of almost the same things. Software wise it doesn't take a genius to know Vita/PS3 features will be underused and hardly supported though. Let's wait till cross-controller is released with LBP2 DLC before we pit Nintendo and Sony against each other on this.

the wiiu only has a few good launch titles, while the vita has a crap library as well, the ps3 library is superb.
so it's hard to take anyone seriously who lists games as an advantage for the wiiu.
3 major things gonna make the Wii U the obvious winner:
1) Price: Sony simple can't compete with a $300 - $350 Wii U vs $500 (minimum) PS3 + Vita, unless you're a hardcore Sony fan you will not buy both systems just for cross-play.
2) All Wii U systems come with a GamePad, that alone makes all developers (at least most of them) develop games that use the touch screen, not every developer will use the Vita+PS3 crossplay functionality (mostly do to increase in dev cost). I honestly don't see many third parties use the Vita+PS3, only Sony first party tittles will use it, or Wii U games that may be ported at some point, like ZombiU.
3) We haven't seen all things that both system can do, but so far the Wii U have more unique functionalities, like the Panorama View for example (I haven't seen the Vita do that yet), for some it may seem gimmicky but it's something that will appeal to the casuals.

Wipeout 2048
MLB 12 The Show
Warriers Lair
Sly
PSASBR
LBP2
Verse every announced game on Wii U. Ya it's pretty obvious the Wii U will be supported much better than Vita/PS3, even if both have similar functionality.
As for price wtf are people doing saying it is $300 verse $500? I highly, highly, highly doubt a person buying a Vita for cross functionality doesn't already own a PS3. It is $300 verse $250.

Please share with me your sources. Besides the simple things in the OP like turning on the TV and using NFC, what functions can the Wii U gamepad and system do that a Vita/PS3 combo can't? The Wii U is obviously better when software is factored in but on the hardware side they are fairly even. Read my first post in this thread and if you want I can share my sources backing me up.
Ps3 won't see new games in 4 years or so (maybe Fifa)
Not all PS3 users have a Vita
Not all Vita users have a PS3
Because 10% of Ps3 owners have a Vita and it will never reach 100% there is no guarantee developers will care about Vita+PS3 connectivity but on the other hand 100% of the WiiU owners will have the gamepad (not counting the ones throwing it into their TVs and f*cking up both their gamepad and TV)
Making a multi platform game for all consoles including Vita and then allowing PS3 owners to play their PS3 version on the Vita defeats the purpose of the Vita being a stand alone console. I would not make Vita games at all when people will not buy my games because they can get it on PS3 and then will be able to play on Vita. Alot of PSP PSV DS and 3DS owners dont even play on the go.

Yeah, no.
If Sony primarily focused on the standalone features of the Vita, and treated cross-play as the bonus feature that it is, that'd be one thing. But with their push to give people who get PS3 games the free Vita version, and executives saying the Wii U is pointless because the Vita grants the same functionality, they're clearly trying to push the PS3 + Vita as a direct contender to the Wii U. Which is even more misguided than the already dubious "console in your pocket" model that the system is built around from the ground up.
At $250 dollars for both systems, the PS Vita + PS3 combo is NOT a viable alternative to buying a Wii U, and Sony marketing it like that is stupid as hell. Plus piss poor Vita sales give third-party devs little more reason to take advantage of the cross play features than to make games for the handheld at all.
I've been loyal to Sony for nearly 2 decades, but at this point I have no idea what the hell it's doing. Who told them that this was a good idea?
