It really makes no sense in most religions for God to be omniscient. The whole reason for the existence of free will is that he wants to test you, but if he is omniscient he already knows what you will do, so there is no free will at all. It therefore makes no sense for hell to exist because there is nothing you could possibly have done to stop yourself from becoming a sinnger.

Just because He knows what you will do doesn't mean you don't get to decide what to do in the first place, and that's the point of free will. You can still make choices and decisions and God knowing them doesn't effect you at all. And hell isn't a place, it's a state of soul and you put yourself there with your own choices and decisions. So in the end, you still get to make your own fate

atheist here

main religions describe an omniscient god not as a learner but as the CREATOR of everything
god never learns nor forgets - that would only suggest an imperfect being trying to perfect himself

since the definition of god is so pretentious i m afraid there is no way to convince ourselves if he applies to the game here

In my atheist opinion :

- a being cannot know it is omniscient because omniscience is impossible
- a being can never be sure his knowledge is valid - as hume said: any science is as reliable as it's method

Wow that like saying because I'm atheist I'm going to believe x that sounds like fundmentalism .

There being a omniscient being that is possible has nothing to do theism or atheism because were not talking about God.

Why do people make it a religion debate when were talking omniscient beings?

Knowledge = True justified belief.

Justification comes in all different forms that are easily accessible. Now your questiong the truth aspect of knowledge.

Either it's true he knows everything and thus has knowledge on this matter, or it is not true and thus his belief is false.

Your saying that he can't possibly know if there is another prospective other than his, but this doesn't provide any evidence that he doesn't know that there isn't another prospective. Justification can come from personal experience, and if the being has only experienced himself for eternity then he is justified in believing there are no other perspectives. Now either this is true or false belief. And that is essentially what you are arguing.

True, that would justify believing that His perspective is the only perspective. But that would not allow him to know with absolute certainty. For instance, if such a being covered all of reality, he could not know if other realities existed, because his perspective doesn't cover other realities.

It would allow him to know. Because if it is true that there are no other perspectives then he has knowledge. (which knowledge means to know)

Since most hypothetical omniscient beings are omnipotent, omnipresent, omnivore and travel in omnibus they should be able to alter reality to match their knowledge.

Well I don't understand how magnets work...so I know that I don't know everything.

Lol wat?

I don't think it's possible to know everything there is to know, as we discover new things all the time. I think, the brain can only so much information, then after that, older knowledge is pushed away by the newer knowledge

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

We're not talking about humans, though.  We're talking about "beings" as in there are no limitations since this is purely hypothetical.
