The thing I find weirdest in this whole argument is that you guys think an RRoD xbox goes back to MS they pop it in the bin and then go out buy a new one from a shop somewhere in town and mail that to you? that isn't how it works at all, the models they get back are either immediately repaired with a new GPU and soldering or they are replaced with a model which had been returned earlier and was repaired already, this is what repairing and refurbishing consoles means. They aren't handing their repair people 300dollars to walk down to gamestop and buy you a new console, that is ridiculous.

That still is not how it works. Every damaged return will be inspected if it is worth repairing or not, nothing is "repaired immediately". Every repair centre had/s a pile of already repaired units, a pile of damaged units, and a pile of new units. Depending on how high these piles were, and how long the centre can delay sending back a unit, you might have received a brand new unit. There were many reports of people getting a new unit, not a refurbished one.

the RRoD issue is a single flaw in the hardware, using a hippy friendly non lead based solder to hold the heatsink onto the GPU, how long you think it takes to determine what happened to each model that returns?

Edit - what I mean by this is bolded now, it's not like they opened up some of them to find that the insides had turned into potatoes or something it was the same fix required on almost every return.

Well yeah, i guess the the only real evidence any of us have we for inacurracy in vgchartz hardware is this:

Where is your evidence against the 360? If anything the numbers here are more accurate for the 360 than any other console.

 

I'm not tryng to do anything. You are. You can't make throw away statements like that and not expect to be challenged.  

According to VGC 360 has now sold the same it had shipped 3 months ago... Seems under to me but i dont know how shipments work so its anyone´s game.

The more weeks go by.....I am upset MS arent price dropping. With the COD/Halo bundles and cheaper kinect, it would be a crushing blow.

ITS BEEN 4 YEARS!!!!! The 360 has been the same price point longer then the Xbox 1 was on the market! A great fun fact, but I want 360 to not just pull ahead, I want them to crush their competitor :P
