Because if you buy a lot of games on Live, it adds up no matter how minute the numbers are.

That's actually a good point. I have this revolving uneven MS points balance, maybe something like this could even things out.



I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

They should definitely make more though. Getting 25k can easily be done in a year. When using easy 1000G games like Avatar, King Kong, Lost etc. probably in a few months.


Getting 25K can be done in a week or two.

Something on par with Club Nintendo probably would be nice.  I get free games each month by registering games and taking post play surveys.  Most games cost about 100-200 coins with the value of the WiiWare, DSiWare, VC games can be anywhere from 1.99 - 8 dollars or so.  So I have probably gotten at least 20-30 dollars worth of games for free through product registrations and surveys since it started for Club Nintendo NA the last few months when they started adding digital downloads as rewards (on top of the other rewards).

Sony announced a rewards system that was suppose to be part of PS Plus or something and launch back in Spring of 2011 and was going to go into beta. It never materialized. I saw an article on it recently but I can't find it and I think it listed the stuff you would get. I'd bet anything it was better than these XBL rewards. 1%? 2%? Really? I was excited when I first heard the rumors about it a few months ago...false alarm. Even that birthday "gift" has an ARV of 25 cents. I hope they reconsider their level of generousity. Better than nothing I suppose.

It makes me think of a rather crude joke.

Xbox Live is f***ing you in the a** making you pay for online play. You ask "can't you give me a reach around?". XBL says "no, only on your birthday."

So, turns out that birthday gift really is a quarter! Well 20 MS points so you have to spend it on XBL. If I start today I'll have 25 bucks!
