The SNES. Best console ever!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you should add Poké Park 2 and Mystery Case Files 2 to your list for the Wii. If I remember correctly, they both were published by Nintendo during the timeframe you mentionned.

I was going to mention PokePark 2 also.  And, you are right about Mystery Case Files Malgrave Incident as well.  Since they both fall in the specified timeframe, that brings Wii up to the 8 published titles that the previous 3 consoles received before it.

Very good list! Keep it up
For me I would say...
SNES > N64 > NGC = Wii > NES
I'm surprised by how little games were released from Nintendo on the NES during that time frame. Despite that, the system had HUGE legs after its successor's launch especially in Japan most likely due to 3rd parties.

^^ I agree, RARE was a "RARE" video game developer back then.

I checked deeply (on wikipedia, I must admit) and found that
-Pokémon Puzzle League was published on september 25, 2000,
-Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix was released on October 24, 2005,
-Geist hit North America on August 15, 2005,
-Chibi-Robo! came out on February 8, 2006.

Since I don't know much about the NES-SNES era in North-America, I didn't investigate any further. I just wonder if there was a Ken Griffey game which was released shortly before the N64 came out. Not sure however.
