Forums - Sales - Nintendo’s Stocks Climb Following Reports of Wii U Pre-Order Sell-Outs

GenGame

With Wii U pre-orders now sold out at basically every major retailer, it’s no surprise that investors are looking to the new Nintendo system that could as the second coming of Wii in terms of breakout success. And the results are showing: Nintendo’s stock climbed 4.46% on the Japanese stock exchange today. Though trading hasn’t closed on Wall Street yet, Nintendo looks to see a similar jump today in the Western exchange market as well.

Nintendo still has a long way to go before they can fully recover to pre-3DS strength – or even to Wii levels of success – but if Wii U momentum remains strong going into and following the holiday season, we could see a near-complete turnaround in a matter of months.

Edit: Hmm... Now that I've looked it up, it seems like Mario actually says "Here we go"... I never knew that :P

Anyway, OT: This was to be expected. If pre-orders selling out wouldn't raise their stocks then lord knows what would.

You... you thought he said "here me go!" ? That... doesn't even make grammatical sense. :(

On a similar note, you remind me of my friend from New York who always accidentally prounounces Mario as "may-rio". He grew up thinking that was the correct pronunciation, and his world broke in half when Mario 64 came out (since Mario says his name, correctly, at the title screen).

doomed?
