A job posting on the Microsoft careers website has hinted that development on a new Forza game from Turn 10 is underway.

The ad asks for "a strong senior software engineer to own the testing of our multiplayer networking system" and work on "the next version of Forza Motorsport."

It is unclear whether this title is for the Xbox 360 or Microsoft's next-generation hardware.

The last entry in the series, Forza Horizon, was developed by Playground Games, a studio formed in 2009 by ex-Codemasters execs Trevor Williams and Nick Wheelwright and staffed with former Black Rock, Bizarre Creations and Slightly Mad developers.

i hope a next gen forza 5 and not this gen and then, if that open world forza horizon will be good and successful (not sure if it will be successful even if it's good) they can switch between both styles from game to game and people can decide which they like more or if they even like both and buy both, the horizon series and the "normal" forzas

Awesome. Forza is the best sim on console. Glad to hear another is in the works. Hopefully for the Durango.

Please not for Xbox 360.

A next-gen Forza would be sweet! It seems likely in any case.

If this is 360 i will freak out.

Please be DURANGO or whatever the name of the next Microsoft Console is... I Hope they keep Xbox, Durango sounds really bad.

I can't wait for Forza 5! This generation Forza has become my #1 choice for racing simulators, next gen Forza is going to be spectacular.
