Forums - Nintendo - Another Nintendo Direct inbound for detailing Miiverse, Wii U OS and 3DS line up ?

Well, since Nintendo said they are making some never seen social features on the Wii U and this Nintendo Direct was interely dedicated to the home console's game lineup, don't you guys think another ND may be inbound for sometime in mid November to drop the final details on Wii U's OS and some 3DS showcase ?

I feel like I don't know which games are coming for the 3DS this remaining year and many more feel the same way. What is 3DS next big thing ???

Also, TVii is limited to north America at this point, we europeans are left in the dust just knowing the line up and nothing else, what is that 1GB RAM OS for ?

Someone rumoured by Monster Hunter Ultimate Wii U mockups that the console could have video chat during gameplay ? Cross play video chat possibly ? Miiverse always in the background ? The Gamepad can stand by your side while not using the Wii U and beep for alerts and updates even in sleep mode ?

Is all this not important at all ??

It is important and will probably get a ND in November, a few short days before the WiiU American launch.

the Nintendo directs aren't really for just release dates for stuff that has already been announced or to let you know in what order of importance those games should be to you in terms of telling you what games you like more... the Nintendo.com website has all the info on launch dates in the different regions so you could check that out for the 3ds stuff, as for the WiiU I would say there could be another ND before it's launch but it wont be going into much details other than how to kill people to get them out of your way to buy one and HYPE HYPE HYPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE imo!

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Nintendo Directs are on a two-month cycle, so the next one would tend to be around October 20th if they keep to that schedule.  Also, 3DS holiday lineup was announced back in August.  All the release dates are set through the end of December.  Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, and Fire Emblem are all scheduled during the "first half of 2013" but beyond that there is no information on when they're being released.  The only big first-party game for 3DS for the rest of the year is Paper Mario.

I expect another ND in the first week of November

The built-in webkit-based internet browser for Nintendo's upcoming Wii U system will have a host of new features, including HTML5 support, Nintendo revealed last Thursday during a Japanese Nintendo Direct that aired simultaneously with the North American Wii U Preview Event. HTML5 is an up and coming web standard that is slowly being adopted by the latest browsers and websites. For example, Youtube (which Nintendo made sure to feature support for in their video demonstration) has an experimental HTML5 version for users with browsers that support it and the necessary video codecs.
Quote:
However, this HTML5 support is contrasted by the Wii U browser's lack of support for Flash, the latest versions of which are also not supported in the Wii, DS, DSi, or 3DS browsers.
Not surprising.

Nintendo also revealed that when players pause their Wii U games and access their internet browser, they will have access to images of the tv and GamePad displays from that paused game. Player-created game screenshots are already known to be used in Nintendo's MiiVerse functonality. However, many details regarding using and saving the images are still unknown. When users pause a game and access the internet browser, the software will remember the paused game's name and prepopulate search queries with it to help users look for relevant information.
Nice touch.

Nintendo also showed video footage of other features of the browser, like tabbed browsing that lets users keep track of several web pages at the same time. The video shows another multitasking scenario where a Youtube video is opened to play on the TV screen, but the GamePad continues to browse the internet as usual even while the video continues to play. One final example is that Wii U owners can simply just browse the internet on their GamePad while the television displays regular programming.
Great.

Gamers can even simply tilt the GamePad forward or backward to automatically scroll up and down through long web pages.
A la Instapaper, love it.
