I guess there's no reason for me to get a PS4 at launch 'cause that's the only game that will make me buy one. I hope there's a Wii U version of Ground Zeroes. BUt, hopefully MG5 is a laucnh title for PS4. |
At this point we can only speculate, but MGS seems more like a possibility for WiiU this time around. All that Konami has to do is to market its product this time; the reason why Twin Snakes and the 3DS port of MGS3 didn't take off was because of bad marketing. And if Fox Engine is indeed multiplatform, I can't imagine MGS5 being exclusive only to PS4.
I am so angry at myself for waiting on preordering the deluxe edition. Does anyone know if there will be more deluxe editions post launch or is it a launch only bundle. I called gamestop but they made it seem as if there will never be anymore of them made and that they're limited editions or something. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?

Why are you bringing that up in this thread? |
Because Nintendo fans can never be excited without particular folks having to come in with the sole intention of raining on the parade!
Still, he's right. But I think Nintendo will have enough units to go around and meet most of the damand (hopefully).

If that's the case then I'm hoping that a MG game will appear on a Nintendo home console again since TT. I really wanna get into the series. But, I really wanna get all the next-gen consoles this generation at launch and a killer PS4 launch game is a must. I wish Crash was still a IP owned by Sony.

If they can exceed that number, then expect pre-orders to open up once more. Also, Wal-mart has been their preferred partner for launches, so they were likely given a much, much higher cap. There is no telling how much room they have left. |
11/18/2012 is exactly 2 months and 2 days away.
I also wonder how much stock they actually gave to retailers. Selling out of 10k units is absolutely nothing, and while they definitely gave out more than 10k units, we have no idea what that concrete number is, giving the "sold out!" moniker less of a meaning. Maybe we'll get lucky and get some preliminary numbers soon.

As of right now, Walmart is the only place to reserve a preorder. I barely even got a pre order at GameStop a day after the press event, but I'm gald I got one just the nick of time. Hopefully Nitendo will green light the preorders again to retailers. Hopefully soon.

I'm 99% sure these two editions are going to be just like every other standard console release with multiple editions, aka there will continue to be more shipments of the deluxe edition until Nintendo decides to change their edition formula in a few months/years. Just like the Xbox 360 had Arcade, Pro, and Elite editions.
If this is some sort of pre-order deal only, they will 1) be losing out on a LOT of money (because they could sell so many more) and 2) I'll be fucking pissed because I haven't pre-ordered mine yet.

It looks like I won't be getting one until next year. I don't like pre-ordering, camping or showing up at a store at restock day, or using ebay. I'll get one when I happen to be at a store that has them.
On the plus side, more money for games this holiday season.
