Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Deluxe against Basic Set preorders at german Amazon

hey i know amazon isn't the perfect indicator but i think that is a huge difference, the deluxe edition is number 1 at german amazon in the "games" category and the basic set is only 114th, so not even in the top 100. seems that at least the early customers don't really care about the cheaper version i think that's great, shows at least a little bit that the price isn't too much if people don't grap the cheaper version.

Around the Network

99.9% of those having pre-ordered it so far are hardcore gamers so this doesn't surprise me. The Deluxe version is badass black, has more storage and comes with Nintendo Land.

The sensor bar is the deal breaker here.

I do not know enough about how much memory HD consoles and especially the Wii U will need. If 8gb are fine, then I will just get that. Even though it does not have Nintenoland. I will be fine.

The Basic model is pretty much for the casual kind of gamers who just buys a couple of games a year, or for those who doesn't care much for digital content. 8GB will be enough for save files and demos, and a game or two depending on their size. Oh, and the Basic model doesn't include a sensor bar, which only is a problem if you don't have a Wii.

Both support SD cards and USB HDD's so it's not like you're stuck with those 8 GB's forever. So, if you like the colour and don't want Nintendo Land the Basic model should be a good choice.
