What I don't understand the most is the argument that people wouldn't want to pay for a new console for this game.

So let us assume a hypothetical scenario whereby it is Sony who step in to revive the franchise, but they make it as a PS4 game. People would still have to buy a new console to play, but somehow I doubt it would kick up all this fuss.

What i especially like about all of this is that everyone complains that Nintendo doesn't play ball, as it were, but when Nintendo does play ball, the whining reaches levels i haven't witnessed since 2008.

This isn't like Monster Hunter Tri where Nintendo swooped out of nowhere with a pile of cash and took the game from Sony's console. Nintendo used its resources to revive a once dead project. So don't be mad at Nintendo, 'cause without them there would be no Bayonetta 2... for any console.

Personally I'm not too interested in the game, but I've only heard great things from fans of the genre. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Yeah, "some" is the key word. Most didn't care unlike this scenario where the entirety of the Microsoft and Sony community are having a meltdown.

98% of the ps360 community never even played the first one, I find hard to believe they are all melting down. on the other hand wii fans have been begging for ass creed, gta iv, resident evil 5, red dead redemption, fifal fantasy xiii and plenty other games from the begging of the gen till now.

Wait what do you mean the same day? FF13 and DMC4? Or do you mean this doesnt compare to FFXIII's announcement o.O?

 

Anyways  like Smeags pointed out (and a few others from what I've seen on other sites), Nintendo pretty much saved the game cause otherwise it wouldnt be coming out at all. Be thankful the game is coming out at all. Best to have a sequel out rather than dreaming about it for years and years....like Legend of Dragoon.....or Super Mario RPG....or the Mana Series....or Breath of Fire (FU capcom)...

They may have ended up doing more than that ...

By it becoming an exclusive game for a new platform and being announced in such a public way, Nintendo has probably increased the profile of this game far beyond what it would have been had it been released for the HD twins. While being high profile doesn't ensure good sales, being low profile generally ensures bad sales.

I didn't read the whole thread, but are you sure people were actually crying about this? I am shocked actually that it has over 300 replies. wth...

LOL...I did, I know it's sad but what goes around comes around. LOL!!!! BTW I am still waiting for the SUPPOSED PORT OF MURAMASA AND LKS I for my last gen HD system.  I guess after the flop NMH had they realized it wasn't profitable to do so.
