Bakemonogatari (and Nisemonogatari)

This is the same with me but Death Note could tie with Code Geass.

Anyone else loved the sadistic slaughter and nudity in Basilisks?

Too many to name, I like mature and thought provoking animes such as Serei no Moribito, Ghost in the shell, Ergo proxy etc Also Gundam 00 and too many others I can't remember yet.

Oh and Gintama for comedy.

Haven't seen anything for the past year although I followed one piece manga every now and then.

My favorite animes are usually shonen anime (is that what it is called) and most from 90's go back.

Favorite all time anime series would have to be Samurai X (Rurouni kenshin) ,if just for the kyoto arc, the sony dubbed version, yes I said the sony dubbed version, which is the first dub of it. Too bad the dvd now is animemax version or something, can anybody point me in the direction where I can Downloaerrr I mean watch (really means download) the sony dubbed version.
Also honorable mention to Death note that series was damn good also.

favorite anime movies would be-
Street fighter the animated movie
Fatal Fury 2 (anybody here ever beat Ocarina of time)
Ninja Scroll
Akira
Vampire Hunter D

Edit- I find anime today to have horrible animation compared to those in the 90's which is what got me into anime in the first place

Hmm dont remember much of that in the Basilisk I watched. Sure lots of fighting but not really anything sadistic :P.
