New Nintendo Direct events to coincide with the Wii U show in New York on September 13, lots of news expected.

Nintendo will host a live Wii U event on September 13 in New York, and while it’s been confirmed that there won’t be a live event in Europe, there are some good news for Europeans. Nintendo just announced that a Nintendo Direct Wii U preview show will air on September 13 at 3 PM (UK time). It will feature Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, who will preview and show off the Wii U for the audience. It’s also expected that we’ll get the European Wii U price and launch date during this time.

Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about those living down under: a Nintendo Direct Wii U preview has been announced for Australia and New Zealand, and will air on September 13th at 24:00 (midnight) AEST. It will coincide with the UK and the New York events. So it appears that Nintendo has coordinated the whole thing for a complete Wii U news blowout. We expect the company to reveal the Wii U price, launch date, games lineup, and there’s even a chance that we might get a surprise or two. You will be able to watch the events on nintendo.com (even if you’re not in Europe or Australia).

It suks that the U.S. does not get a Nintendo Direct :(

Well, are we going to hang out here tomorrow, or at the official WiiU press con thread?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

So let me get this straight.

Nintendo's NYC conference will be hidden from the general public...
2 separate Nintendo Direct streams (EU and AU) will air at the exact same time as the event in NYC...
Those streams may or may not have the same information, games, or content as the NYC conference...

Am I the only one who is the least bit perplexed by the fact that Nintendo isn't simply doing one event that anyone can watch? All of these events at the exact same time seem like a very confusing idea.

@theshape31: one of the key things to be discussed is release date and price point, this is obviously going to be different for all three regions, hence the three separate forums.

Making sure the Aussies and Europeans get a nice recap of all the awesomeness we're in store for.
