Forums - PC - pc's fanboys opinions on gta iv

It's an anticipated title for me, and I own all the previous ones (except VC Stories). As for the difference between 720p and 1080p; I think it's vast. You need not be a technophile tp spot the obvious difference in resolution, like many claim.
This is in no way a PC title for me though, I find the controls and overall gameplay on PC versions lacking, and they always release it on consoles almost 18 months before...

See my above post in the controls. The 360 controller plugs right into my PC... again, I can't really see any game being "better" on consoles, with the possible exceptions of Wii games since they offer control schemes which the PC can not mimmick.

i would like to know what are your thoughts of this game being:

- 720p (puny)

- download content for the xbox 360 (meh)

- physcis (GTA has physics?)

- rage engine (After seeing Table Tennis... meh)

- graphics (Crap... though GTA always had horrid graphics)

Add all that to "I don't like GTA" and you should been able to figure what I think.

truly the 360's content doesnt matter

the general fact that the PC version, which will be available through Steam,  will have improved graphics, physics, and will run at up to 1900p, currently the highest PC monitor resoution, which greatly over-shadowswhat either the PS3 or 360 can do. Also the extra content doesnt matter as game modders will edit everything missing into the game. Plus there will benew weapons, vehicles, buildings, and land added that will never exist anywhere else thanks to modders.

I have Vice City and San Andreas for PC, and I used a $20 gamepad to play them, since I figured it'd feel more like the console versions that way.

But free mods and online content, better graphics...it's definitely worth getting them for PC if you get it at all.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Plus, people really underestimate what PCs do for online play.  Console gamers have a 32 man limit on CoD4, but there are 100 man servers on PC, and lots of 50-60 man servers (those are the ones I used the most).

I dont care for GTA

Its a boring game...

The only reason why i would everplay it is just to Ride around in the city and kill NYC hookers

yep, finally someone agrees with me

i think it will be good, but if it doesnt release on pc i wont really mind

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

I am a PC fanboy and I have played GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas without paying a dime for those games. They were games good enough to pirate for me but not good enough to pay anything. I am not into racing games at all and I am mostly interested in online FPS games, and since GTA is a combination of FPS and racing it wasnt a game that I would care too much about.

Proud owner of the following gaming devices:

PC, XBox 360, Wii, PS2, DS, PS3

I liked the first ones most I don't know if I will bother to get this one but in the end I will probely have it.

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

The only version I would get is the PC version. Even so I am not a GTA fan. San Andreas was the only one that rated above "poor" in my book. I would rather play it on a console, but I refuse to pay U$ 60 for games that I get for U$ 50 on PC.
