What do you mean crazy?

I had a ps3 at launch... and i had Resistance, motorstorm and call of duty 3...

I really enjoyed resistance, but i didnt like the other 2 very hugely so i sold it along with the console.

Oh, I thought you just bought Resistance despite not owning the console.  I didn't realize you sold it, lol.

Admittedly, I was thinking of buying a Sixaxis the day after launch just so I could hold it, because I couldn't get my hands on a ps3.  I'm such a nerd. >_>

We didn't know you once had a PS3.  That's why

On topic, I think 40GB will suit you very well.  Sooner or later, Sony will figure out a way to let us play PS2 games on HDTV.  Either by releasing a system update for PS3 or by launching a PS2-HD.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I don't know if im gonna get Killzone, can't say i was a huge fan of the first, but i will certainly hire it or somthing.

if you still have ps2 working then yes its a good buy for you

But for how long will the PS2 work?  The PS2 isn't like other consoles where taking good care of it will make sure it doesn't break.

BC models are the only way to go if you ask me, unless you plan to stop playing PS2 games during this generation or like tracking down used PS2s.

If his PS2 is still working then it was wise of him to buy the 40GB. If his PS2 does break down, he can most certainly get a PS2 cheaper than $100, not used.

In the end, it's his decision, not ours.

I've had my ps2 since launch and never had one problem with them, if for any reason it does i will have no problem buying another one :D

It's hard to play PS2 games now, considering we are in the next or should I say current-generation now. PS3 games are what we should be playing. Having PS2 BC on the PS3 is just an added bonus. It prevents the consumer from still owning the original PS2.

So in your form of area, it's good. If you don't see any games you like on the PS3 now, then I see that you have an X360 or Wii. Just buy games on those consoles until you see some games on the PS3.
