You missed Red Steel 2, a FPS-Shooters too. Why only First-Person-Shooters? There are other and better shooters for the Wii, like Sin&Punishment, Resident Evil 4, Rogue Trooper, The Sky Crawlers etc. etc.

The best Shooter for the Wii is Metroid Prime 3, even if it is more than a simple shooter like the shooters you mentioned.

As I said, I excluded Red Steel 2 on the grounds that I consider it more a first person brawler/beat-em-up/straight-up action game.

I'm aware of those other games, but for the purpose of this topic I was more interested in where people's preferences lie as far as standard FPS games on Wii go.

I also excluded games I didn't think would be popular, like Red Steel 1, Medal of Honor Vanguard, Call of Duty 3, and Far Cry Vengeance.

And Prime 3 more simple than the games I mentioned? I'd say it's more complex thanks to its exploration and problem-solving elements.

those games were terrible simply terrible, no one in their right mind would consider those even good.

As for MP3 IMHO it still isnt the best, especially if you want to put it in the FPS category, the lack of MP alone would negate it IMHO.

I do not think any of the games in the options are the best on the console.

Red Steel 2 and Metroid Prime 3 were better than any game on that list. Just because they offered more than a standard FPS, that does not remove the fact that they were.

Also, what of Red Steel 1, Far Cry Vengeance?

This is a very biased list.

I agree that MP3 and RS2 are better, but again, for this thread, I'm only interested in how pure FPS games are percieved on Wii. (And I did leave an "other" option for those who felt differently)

Red Steel 1 and Far Cry Vengeance are generally considered to be terrible, (which I agree with) so I didn't think they'd get enough legit votes to be worth listing.

As for bias, I simply based it on which games fit the traditional (modern) FPS mould and which ones are widely considered to be good.

For once, we agree on something. ;)

Red steel 2
The Conduit
Elebits
Goldeneye
CoD MW Reflex

I'm gonna get murdered:

The first Red Steel

Seriously.

I've learned how to master the clumsy pointer controls. I really dig that game,I've beaten it multiple times. And I know it doesn't deserve more than a 6 for its massive flaws like waggle sword control and glitches. But it was my first IR pointer on FPS experience. I can't go back to the archaic dual analog setup.

OT: My favorite is Metroid Prime 3, the controls were simple perfect IMO

Nintendo and PC gamer

Any particular reason why Black Ops is so much more popular than the other Wii COD games? This baffles me.

And do polls allow multiple votes or something? Because every time I revisit the page it asks me to vote although I already have.

The offline multiplayer is very good, as is the campaign.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

IMHO its the best one in the series since MW1. The COD franchise has been growing every year. sans the DS ones which sell worse and worst each addition. MW3 not sure what happened their, maybe Wii owners just got fed up and just bought the game on the other systems? or maybe just decided not to buy it at all, ive played MW3 and its pretty bad, even comparing it to other FPSs on Wii. pop up all over the place, the online is a lag fest
