"Capcom has confirmed that a Monster Hunter game will be released in North America this year. Unfortunately, the information they can’t reveal for the moment is “what it is” and “when we’ll know”. With the approach of the Tokyo Game Show though, along with the media briefing on the 13th, there’s lots of room for announcements"

This is really strange.

I wonder if NOA/NCL is really working with Capcom here to tailor something to the US market?

Monster Hunter x Zelda? That would certainly grab some extra sales if they took the 3G engine and maybe added some Zelda related areas/content, no?

Monster Hunter 3G for Wii U + 3DS (cross platform play?).

I don't see how it can be Monster Hunter 4 though, I think they must be taking MH3G and adding something to it if this is supposedly coming out this year. MH4 probably won't be ready for any market until next spring.

That ios shit.

Don't trust Capcom's "forum moderators" - they´re nothing more than that. Community manager is just a fancy name, imo.

And he said we´re getting a game, not necessarily in 2012. But that means nothing. If a monster hunter game arrives in 5 years they'll say... "there, you see, I told ya".

And also, they could just change their minds... he said this in march 2011, when the game of the hour was still 3rd on the PSP

"And exactly what form it takes, I can't speak to - I have to unfortunately stay mum. But fear not, you guys have more goodness coming in the future."

haha, see, same words, different times! Man, those guys sucks - and know nothing, playing big boys when they aren't

If it is 2012 there is no way it's gonna be Monster Hunter 4, it will most likely be Monster Hunter Tri G, but if that game sells well Capcom will probably localize Monster Hunter 4, unfortunately I highly doubt that will happen.

I think it's to late to hear a announcement about triG coming t the west. I think they will announce that MH4 will come to the west not to long after the Jap release.

But Capcom could also surprise us with something crappy like MH:F port or some other crappy port for the WiiU or some crap for iOS.

This is Trollcom, so I'm betting whatever it is, it'll be a disappointment.

given what they are doing with AA5, im starting to think they will jump directly to MH4 but will only release next year.

If there is an actual game releasing this year then its probably 3G for the 3DS or maybe that rumored Wii U version.

Official. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U and 3DS.

The 3DS version = MHtri 3G, the Wii U version = MHtri 3G HD.

Happy to see this in the west, but why MH3 again?! It's being bundledin japan with the premium Wii U, I'm sure the Japs are excited somehow, but seriously... Is there anyone in japan who didn't play ANY of these versions of MH? Wii, 3DS now Wii U, why can't capcom make something new for the wii u istead of reremastering the Wii's game?

First, me and many others never played MH3 in the west cause the Wii doesnt appeal to us.

MHportable 3 HD was gonna come out but because Sony didnt care, i guess capcom just wanted to make use of the resources and transfered the project to the Wii U.

All this is also a strong indicator that MH4 will get the same treatment. So, for now just enjoy MH3 Ultimate.
