Someone over on Gaf rounded up a load multiple quotes

Quote: "PlayStation 3, you will see, will be far and away the winner when you look at it by March '08. They really, really will. It's something that is going to be a slow burner, and suddenly it's like a tsunami; it will just overtake you." (David Reeves, 2008)

Nintendo knows its target audience, because it has really narrowed that down; and it's pretty much defined by a boy or girl's ability to admire Pokemon.” – (Phil Harrison, 2005)

I must disagree. He said some silly things from time to time but it was because of his ambition. There would be no Nintendo if not for him. The bad moments were rare and the good were plentiful. Hell, you could say that gaming as we know it would not exist if not for him.

He gets my respect despite his few slip ups.

Nah, as of the Cube era he was almost always constantly wrong. Wrong on the importance of graphics, wrong on the appeal of RPGs, wrong on the importance of online, just wrong wrong wrong.

As much of a great leader he was, as much as I'm glad he's gone. Nintendo of today doesn't need him anymore.

Thanks, Miz.  That one really made my day.  Funny how right as Phil Harrison was leaving Sony he was actually praising the Wii and how Sony basically got beat by it.  That guy...

OT:  So many people in the industry talking smack.  While some of it is the usual PR stuff, you also have Morgan Webb being her usual troll self (I remember she used to troll Sony a lot; now it's Nintendo) and Xander Davis' ignorance, lashing out in anger and disparaging Wii U when he hasn't even worked on it before.

But guys like Pachter, Phil Fish (that Fez guy) and Jack Tretton (probably the worst of the bunch) just seem like a-holes.

THIS. In Kojima's defense, the Ninty MG games havent really sold that well. Twin Snakes did worse than i thought, despite getting good reviews and coverage and MGS3d isnt doing anywhere near as much as people intially thought(i dont blame Nnty for that, the asshole who thought they should sesll it for full price should be demoted).

The Wii U smart glass, crossplay comparison is LOL. THey have a case for smart glass, but cross play is just an updated version of remote play that has been available for PSP/PS3 for years, probably before Ninty even thought of Wii U, but i know certain people will ignore that.
