Forums - Nintendo - RUMOR: Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 heading to the eShop

I'd hope so, especially seeing as 3D Land is about the same size as NSMB2. Pilotwings Resort and Steel Diver are other "must-add" titles, considering their relatively tiny size.

i havent bought 3Dland yet, and planning to, but even if this is true, as im against digital distribution of big complex games i will not support it buying any of those or any further ones
:)

Nice news, I hope that in the next year all games (at least all 1st party games) are available through DD.

I want to see the first third party game doing that soon too.

Those older games that are not selling well need to be discounted on the eshop. Tekken is a good game it just does not have a lot of modes to it. But for half price it would be worth it.

I think they're already at a reduced price officially. I know GameStop is selling Steel Diver and Resort at $20, and Tekken 3D is only a bit higher priced.

For a cheaper price I feel third party games could be successful on the eshop as downloadable titles. Just do not flood the shop all at once .

It would also be very helpful for those who live in 3rd world countries, as we wouldn't have to pay absurd taxes.

Let's see... going back to my "Size of 3DS games" thread from a while ago, here are some of the smaller retail games by size.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 - 0.37
Crush 3D - 0.35
Pokemon Rumble Blast - 0.33
Super Mario 3D Land - 0.31
Bit Trip Saga - 0.31
Mario Tennis Open - 0.29
Super Monkey Ball 3D - 0.22
Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars - 0.22
Rayman Origins - 0.21
Demon Training - 0.20
Rayman 3D - 0.19
Steel Diver - 0.18
Pilotwings Resort - 0.10
Shifting World - 0.05

Demon Training is the new Brain Age game that released alongside NSMB2 and the XL in Japan.

Now it's Brain Age: Concentration

You know, not to scare the kids

They're really just starting out with this, but I thought it was already confirmed that Nintendo were going to release all their new 3DS games onto digital and retail?

Why the hell wouldn't they release older titles digitally at the same time?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
