It needs 149€ 16gb price cut, because right now one can get 160gb for 200-210€ in europe. 179€ for 16gb wont do anything.

I'm not convinced. It'll need a heavy pricecut AND a huge marketing campaign for the slim, AND the WiiU to not take off and be the 'in-thing' for it to happen in Europe, and then it'll be only just.

Will it peak this year, Worldwide? No chance. It's down around 15% YoY so far, and that will only continue to slide until the Slim's release. The best the PS3 can hope for is 10% down YoY I feel at this point, and even that's a bit too hopeful. Europe has a better chance, but even then the PS3 has certainly peaked now.

not a chance, there is no killer exclusive coming out. last year they had uncharted and the year before gran turismo. this year they have what? littlebigplanet karting? playstation all stars? not really the system sellers if you ask me. plus software and hardware has been down year on year. i just dont see it happening

We shall see. I believe PS3 will have its best holiday ever in Europe. The damn price hasn't even hit sub 200 while the competitors have been at that price for more than 3 4 years.

I believe that if a new slim comes along and a price cut, I think that it will just neutralize the 2010 numbers. IE same levels.

I already got a 320GB PS3 Slim new for 149€. I don't see Sony undercutting this.
