My local Tesco have never even stocked it (Quite a big one, its A 24hr store). They stock 3DS, Wii, Xbox & PS3, but never any Vita. It did take a while for 3DS to appear though, roughly around when MK7 was releaed.

UK supermarkets sell consoles at a loss or break-even, in order to attract customers. Even if the Vita CAN be profitable, it isn't making anyone drive to the store so they won't have it.
Manbear, do not label ASDA as the UK name for walmart as that implies it's as big as walmart, which it isn't at all. Still a fairly big store though, and this is very ;(
Here in Portugal a.k.a Sonyland is quite the opposite.
PSV shelves are way bigger than 3DS. There are still some supermarkets with PSone(!) games. And some GBA too.
ASDA is owned by Walmart now, but it's not the "UK name for Walmart". ASDA is short for Associated Dairies, and was founded in Leeds by some farmers. (Ironically farmers are probably now being shafted by ASDA for their produce)
I'll check my local on Friday and get back to you, though I'm not certain they have Vita now... it might change store to store depending on how well Vita stuff sells.

I think my Asda have discontinued it as well. I couldn't see the Vita section in the games isle when I took a quick look today. I'm not sure though, I'll take a proper look next time I go in.

I think that they are moving it to a different place... you just don't know where, yet!

They are moving it to the same hole that the ET Atari game was buried in.
personally, I would quicker pay for top rated and hugely discounted DVDs than a very expensive and lackluster Vita.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.
