People talking shit about the game are nitpicking. Sure some textures are blurry, sure maybe some ai is wonky, etc etc. There are a lot of really GREAT features about this game. It's nitpicking, for whatever reason.

This game will do like 5-7m lifetime, and if you still wonder why people like it so much, just remember that I told you it's because you're nitpicking, and the buyers are not.

5-7m? Way too high.

Huh? The same guys who make uncharted make a game that everyone says blows their mind ISN'T going to sell as much as uncharted?

I think the only way it'll do more than 5 million is if it does exceptionally well with critics (95+ meta) and gets a massive marketing push (similar or bigger budget than UC3).

It's a new IP, I don't know if it has as much mass appeal as Uncharted, and I doubt it'll be bundled as much as Uncharted. My prediction(s) is it releases in the first half of next year and sells 3.5m by the end of the year.

That's your reasoning?

That's your reasoning?

Your reasoning is based off of sales dropping simply due to a new console coming out. DOn't patronize me with a post like this when your own is unfounded.

PS4 comes out, everyone buys a ps4, people don't buy ps3s or ps3 games anymore, right?

And what evidence do you have showing a previous console still in production doesn't sell, and doesn't sell games? The ps2?

My reasoning is in the reply I left to CGI.

I didn't say people won't buy a ps3 or ps3 games anymore. But it's foolish to think there won't be a noticeable decrease in PS3 software/hardware sales when the PS4 does release. I'm not saying games are going to flop. Obviously games will still be successful. But expecting 5-7m for a single-player centric new IP at the end of the PS3 life cycle is simply unrealistic.

It could still do 4-5m which is still great.

It's all speculation at best. No way to say it will / won't sell "x" amount for sure. I'm just saying that his guess is reasonable given the mentioned factors.

True, no one can say with absolute certainty what will happen. But we can surely tell which predictions are realistic or unrealistic. Only a handful of games have/will sell near 6m. It's extremely unlikely that TLoU will join those games with a lot less time to do so. And no confirmed multiplayer. Sure, it's possible it could sell to do so, but theproff's prediction is not a likely one.

I personally think it'll do around 3.5 - 4.5m. a little higher than 5m if things go really higher.

Yes, multi-player was confirmed . My Official Thread also has plenty of info.

And again, your guess is no more right than his. I haven't given a prediction for just this very reason - too many unknown variables. Only thing I think is certain is the game won't be a commercial failure - and even then, it's mere speculation.

So, it was confirmed. Good to know.

Yes, it's speculation. Every prediction is speculation. Some are just more realistic than others.

N ah 5-7 m is to high. I would say 4 million at best.

It will only sell more if it release on PS4 too.

Don't call me a fool, pretender.

Nothing special at all imo, I don't understand how people can be excited for this game, it's just another post-apocalyptic game with nothing but dilapidated buildings & cars for environments, no meritable artistic style, it'll lack good gamesplay just like Uncharted and it's just dull, no imagination went into making this game.

Just like the Uncharted series, this game will be forgotten about in a few years when next gen consoles come along because games that focus purely on visuals always become outdated A LOT quicker as newer games with much better visuals will come out and become the new centre of attention for graphic whores, it's games with great gameplay that will be remembered and celebrated for many years to come as they won't become outdated nearly as quick. Naughty Dog hasn't made any games with great gameplay since Jak & Daxter, hopefully they'll create something creative, magical, non-shooter, imaginative, fun and ORIGINAL next generation, I doubt it though.

I think exactly the same as you. Naught Dog focusing way to much on the graphics and the gameplay part of their last games is boring. The Jak & Daxter Games was their last really good Games. The Uncharted Games was a boring graphics Demos with only scripted gameplay and boring worse executed shooting parts.

I really hope that The last of us is better than this Uncharted Shit.

Why are you bringing Uncharted back up?  This is about The Last of Us, not Uncharted.  And you do realize that every game is scripted, right?  It is just a matter of how scripted it is, like whether you can go through a level and do multiple things to get through the level.  In Uncharted's case there was only one way to go about a level.

And the 40 or more awards that Uncharted 2 won say Hi.  Pretty much every reviewer agreed that Uncharted 2 was one of the best games, both graphically and gameplay wise.  But, it is your opinion but you didn't justify why you think Uncharted sucks.  Plus, I could hardly read what you even wrote

It's worth noting that people were saying exactly this about Uncharted 2.
