Yes, my telco subsidizes a new iphone every 2 years, and 2 years are up =)
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
I might upgrade to it next year (around February/March), if it's not to expensive (£35+ a month!). I want to see how Apple improved it first though.

Totally agree with the cellphone bit. RIM, Samsung and everyone else upgrade they phones pretty much as frequently as Apple.
The dim-witted can't seem to comprehend that technology is is a fast moving environment. You snooze you loose. It is all about keeping up with the competititors.
PC processors and Graphics cards for PCs, Macs etc is a prime example. You invest in the latest all singing card and before you can blink another more advanced one comes along.
If you are happy with what you got why upgrade.
My current iphone contract expires end of this year so I will get the new one.
I hope Sony brings a great Phone out in near future, otherwise I will get the new IPhone.

I know about this Phone, and it looks good, but it does not blow me away. It does not play in the same league as the IPhone or the Galaxy S does.
bigger screen was the idea of the competition, as competition i would sue apple if the screen will be 4 inch or bigger, i mean, that's like other companies always steal apple ideas, as example a white box with the phone in it which was a patent problem once!
