Skyrim: Hearthfire has launched now on Xbox Live. Bethesda’s latest update will cost you a meagre 400 MS Points and is a paltry 75MB download.

The expansion lets adventurers play house instead of having fun killing things. Bethesda revealed yesterday that development of Hearthfire stemmed from Skyrim’s crafting system and the popularity of Minecraft.

It launches as PS3 owners recently discovered that Skyrim’s first expansion Dawnguard may never make it to Sony’s console. Read all about Bethesda’s doubts here.

lolwut? Dawnguard was released for the 360 months ago (it was a timed exclusive DLC). Hearthfire is a completely different thing

Sad to hear that about the PS3 version, oh well, was planning to get the PC version anyways ;p

so the DLC is never releasing on PSN then? i only put in about 40 hours before stopping to let them iron out the glitches. looks like i might just trade it in and never go back instead. bethesda fucked up so bad on PS3 they might aswell consider making their next game only on xbox and pc.

Yeah their blaming the RAM issue for it, best to get the PC version (with alot of mods) or the xbox360 version if you want to play it on a console.

I'll be getting the PC version since I plan to upgrade my GFX card soon, was gonna get the PS3 ver originally but decided not to because of the glitches ;x

good decision. the things a mess on PS3. like 5 freezes in an hour mess.. with all patches installed.
