Surfing games? Yeah sure. 0 0%

The last big name surfing game and effort was Kelly Slater Pro Surfer for PC,PS2,GC,XBOX and GBA. This gen hasn't seen any surf game. This sports genre has been underrated. Why is that?

Who in here played some Kelly Slater and awaits some more from the genre with new shinny graphics and great boob physics ?

I would add a poll to this, but checking in the "add a poll" checkbox does nothing on Chrome browser and I'm not going to mess with Internet Explorer, dear Lord.

Edit: So the poll options appear after hiting the submit button. Noob of the month award to me.

Seems better suited as a mini-game in those casual collection of sports games.

Description

As a kid growing up land locked in the Midwest I was fascinated by the ocean and surfing. Having been lucky enough to spend most of my adult life near the ocean, surfing and making video games, I thought I would try to make a game that conveys the experience of surfing. Just in case there are any land locked kids out there dreaming of an endless summer like I did.

One of the great things about surfing is the broad specturm of abilities found out in the water. From the little kid going out with a parent for the first time, to a seasoned pro chasing down one of the biggest waves on the planet, at heart they're all pursuing the same thing. The simple thrill of riding a wave. Capturing this thrill for as many skill levels as possible and showing the natural beauty surfers encounter each time they go out is the main goal of Infinite Surf. If you want to cruise and collect coins all day you can. If you'd rather test your limits to see how fast and how many points you can get you can do that too! The game can be as relaxing or as intense as you want it to be.

Features

  • Infinite gameplay
  • Unique take on an endless runner
  • Play at your pace
  • 4 different surfboards, more coming...
  • 2 different waves, more coming...
  • Intuitive tilt controls
  • No sharks to ollie

I'm talking about videogames.

I am sure it would be awesome if they do it right. But if you don´t do the sport and only play the game makes it less interesting.

Same case for every football, basket, NFL, NHL, racing genre. I think that such detail is not related.

But by the enormous ammount of posts and discussing I see why such type of game is not coming lol.

PS2 had quite a few of them and ps3 has wakeboarding HD

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
