Just got back from the store from getting red bulls before I start this paper. This really will be my last post (probably in the next two days).

You guys can't have it both ways. You can't say "Usually, you need to be nice. And... you can say people are acting idiotic.... And you can say people's posts are stupid. And swearing is perfectly fine. We wont mod you for that."

And also say, "But when you are rude and you do call people's posts stupid and you do swear then you are going to get banned"

Its called a contradiction. Its a logical no-no and somethings got to give. I am suggesting you guys find a way to be consistent. The guy I quoted earlier said it best:

Can we stop with the overzealous moderation? You're essentially performing lobotomy on the community making the dialogue monotonous.

What's left is just precise scientific and politically correct language void of emotion and subtext.

Let people speak their passions and their opinions.

Edit: Have anyone seen the movie Equilibrium? It's premised on a future dystopian society where displays of emotions are considered crimes. It's really scary and sad at the same time to see the type of cultural bleach that's going on with this mod team. Seems like every controvertible topic has to be sterilized because heaven forbid we express our conflicting view points and feelings.

I don't understand the social media policy of this site. Why even have forums if you're afraid of people freely and creatively exchanging ideas and opinions. Are you so shocked that language can be emotionally charged especially considering the traditional rivalry these products and companies have engendered? I don't get it.

We arent putting a lid on swearing. You can say a post is stupid... If you back up your post with reasoning. What you cant do is needlessly antagonise other users and expect to get away with it. Drop the superiority complex, drop the insults, drop the shit.

Its all fine and dandy telling me that youre nice to people a lot of the time, but when you ruin it with behaviour like the examples in your history then you dont have a leg to stand on. Different mods from different mod teams have been drilling this into your head since 2008.

But hey, if youre refusing to take my advice then so be it. Your loss.

I'll repeat myself until you understand, you can't say that I dont need to be nice, that I can swear and I can insult users posts and behavior without fear of moderation... then turn around and say when I do that I will be moderated.

why is the difference between putitng someone in his place and putting someone in his place and ending with a provocation so difficult?

No disrespect to Kantor and Torrilian but they are just individuals, they gave their take on the rules doesn't mean all moderators implement and practice the rules like that.

Uh... the head mods and site admin are the ones that implement the rules and the way they are translated and how moderation works.... How did it work out so far? Fine because I go weeks and months with moderation without changing my tone and make the same comments all the time. Its obviously a consistency issue especially when the higher ups are saying things are fine

Obama doesn't make the laws in US. You even said ioi stated this is not a democracy. Terrible logic.

The logic is fine.

You should see obama as  torrilian or kantor, in the highest position but still lacking true power to do whatever they please.

Then again i'm starting to doubt you are even open for a different view other then your own. If so please tell me now before this goes any further.
