Rule 15 has always been ignored, but with the bloodborne stuff today I thought it was worth reminding you.

Posting videos and impressions of the bloodborne alpha are against the rules. In addition posting scans of magazines and what not are also against the rules.


These are major infractions that are even against the site's terms of use as well.

Eh that's a stupid rule to be honest, just like the quote tree rule.

No, it's really not.

The quote rule stops people from having to scroll a bit more, while rule 15 stops the website from being shutdown and ioi sent to court.

Yeah when I set up my site I had to research all these things and talk with my lawyer. The probability of vgchartz getting sued is pretty low, but it's still better safe than sorry.  I mean when even 4chan has this rule, you know there's a good reason!

Nothing to do with alphas or magazine scans.

Even though alphas and magazine scans are not specifically listed, they are certainly covered.

Unless they're links to pirate-download the alpha, then no, they're really not. Page image magazine scans, definitely not.

Yes they are, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Your personal opinion is irrelevant when determining if something is considered a copyrighted material. Now there is some grey area with fair use policies, but those don't apply in these cases.

Now if you want to turn a blind eye to parts of the rule, yeah you can do that. They'd still be breaking the terms of use though.

These are all known of and I once spent a Week banning literally hundreds of them. Despite this, tons more kept on being made where it came to the point that it was pointless to actually keep banning them.

Thankfully they dont actually spam the forums and are just profiles with links.
