Thanks for the moral support, and I am hardly offended by his comments. I know his issue isn't really with what I am saying, or how I am saying it. His issue is that his portable device does a shitty job of displaying the text, or he is trying to snack at work, or on the move. To that I just shrug if he just wants short then he should be going to a chat room, or a social media site. Forums are meant for expounding.

That is rather irrational of you to say. You can't delay something that has never been given a release date. Let alone something that hasn't even been confirmed to exist. A new console is entirely speculation at this point. We don't know for a fact that it is real, or that it is being worked on, or that Sony will ever release a new console. The logic you are using just doesn't work. Your default position shouldn't be confirmed until denied. If you want to go that route then your most ardent belief should be that there won't be a console, because Sony hasn't said that there is one.

Sony has said no several times.

Sony has in fact said they aren't interested in launching a PS4 at this time.

Yes they have. Sony confirmed it in May of last year. Masaru Kato confirmed it and Hirai stated that he will not talk about the development. Hirai got caught trying to keep quiet about it. I guess he didnt tell everyone at Sony to shut up.

Seriously that is your proof. I watched the interview he didn't refer to a console let alone a new Playstation. Further more he just referred to game development in general, and not in the specific. All this tells me is that Sony is kicking around ideas, and not making and promises. After all you wouldn't expect them to say their brand was winding to a end, or they have kicked consoles in favor of a new business model. You are hearing what you want to hear. Sounds to me like a lot of mysterious language to pique peoples interest in what they have to say.

He's talking about Hirai's statements about the next Playstation. Playstation is always tight lipped and try to keep us focused on the here and now (IE: 10 year plan still in effect). Many in the industry believe next year E3 2013 will bring a peek of the new consoles. With the reveals of the new engines, I am starting to believe them. As far as exclusives production goes, the PS3 could last until 2015 unless they solely rely on third parties in the last year before cutting the chord.
