I was already getting it at launch but if this is true, I might need to camp out two DAYS in advance haha.

Only question is, does the cardboard box play Nintendo games? Cause if not that wise, wise man is very, very dumb. |
Sure it does, they strapped a Gameboy Colour to the inside

WiiU cartridge-based confirmed.
Now i can buy again all games that I already have on PS3!! Yay!!
PS: Dont care about Pikmin 3...
I seriously doubt it. If it was that cheap,it would fly off the shelves and you would'nt see one for months. I also, don't see how they would profit from such a price point.
I dont see $200 flat out. I could however see $200 being slightly possible for a bare bones model without the special screen controller. I still think somewhere between $249 and $299 would be the best price point for them to make good profit.

^ This is the one misconception about Wii U that's starting to get on my nerves. Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, Darksiders II, Tom Clancy, the yearly EA Sports games. To my knowledge, that's it. Let's wait and see on Ninja Gaiden, it's possible they actually DID turn it into a decent game.
You don't "already have" Assassin's Creed 3 on your PS3. In addition to Nintendo's considerable first-party line-up, it's also got ZombiU (excl), Rayman Legends (excl), Scribblenauts Unlimited (excl), Lego City (excl), P-100 (excl), Aliens, Sonic Racing, Tekken, Injustice, Sniper, and quite a few others you probably don't care about (Just Dance, etc). And the digital support from smaller devs already looks fantastic.
Honestly, Wii U has one of the best-looking launch line-ups I've ever seen. Better than Wii and 3DS combined for sure.

$289.99. I don't see it selling for less than this.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

I just think it's stupid to buy a Wii U to play a game that I could play on my PS3/X360... I would never buy a game system to play Rayman, Scribblenauts, Lego or even Tekken (which I played #3 throught #6 and cant stand that game anymore)...
| Soundwave said: You really think Nintendo is going to sell a device that has all the costs of a handheld (large 6+ inch LCD touchscreen + ion lithium battery + gyros + speakers) and the costs of a console (main console CPU/GPU/power supply/motherboard/RAM/disc drive) which is likely more powerful than a Vita + 3DS combined for $30 more? |
@bolded: Well, the WiiU Gamepad is not an independent game-playing machine, so it certainly doesn't have all of the costs of a handheld game system. But no, WiiU won't be $200.
OT: To anyone who is suggesting that Nintendo could make a SKU available that did not include a WiiU Gamepad, that will never happen. Nintendo is selling this console with the screen controller principle in mind, and they will make sure that every WiiU owner has this functionality out of the box for the sake of this design philosophy.
