Sony doing it the right way, let Nintendo test the market and if they succeed swoop in and get your part of the market share there is no point in innovating since they are a Japanese company and according to Mitt Romey only americans can innovate

In Germany, we once had a leader too who said that only those with Germanic blood could invent and innovate.

This is assuming that the Sony patent has been granted. But at this stage, according to the report at least, they have only filed for a patent, so it just may be that the patent will not be granted if deemed too similar to the one filed (apparently earlier?) by Nintendo.
