A typical Assassin's Creed game takes me between 40-50 hours and Red Dead took even longer than that. And I expect GTA5 to give me at least 40-60 hours in SP.
Those are open world games though. Castlevania: LoS is more comparable in gameplay to God of War. I think that game should set the new standard for length of single player campaigns in the pure action genre, around 20 hours.
I would be extremely happy if the God of War Ascension campaign took 20 or even 30 hours!
