Final Fantasy has now 11 sequential news articles on andriasang (probably a record), but I'm willing to bet the most popular one is going to be the last, about Versus no-show! Seriously, it tragicomedy at its best!

See, this is why I hate final Fantasy XIII. if it was simply a one-off, I'd shrug my shoulders and move on and treat it like the subpar, poorly made anomaly it is....but this is unacceptable. Final Fantasy XIII isn't just a bad game, it's the bad game that is the crux of the downfall of the company. It's the turning point. By focusing their efforts on making more around XIII, it's taking them farther and farther away from QUALITY. I hate final Fantasy XIII because it effectively destroyed the series and it continues to beat it with a dead horse.

They should be focusing on Versus. the very fact that they KNOW people want Versus and are actively taking resources away from making it shows that the company hates its fans. Either that or it's trolling us on an epic scale, and they're all sitting in their building laughing in a stereotypically japanese fashion.

This Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII announcement isn't legit, it's a joke, that or an act of aggression. There's no other possible explanation. FUCK YOU SQUARE ENIX IN THE ASS WITH A BARBED DILDO.

I'm serious.

I'm still waiting for Final Fantasy XIII-4.

It's been 6 years of this exact same thing. I don't understand why everyone falls victim to this over and over again. They showed the game clearly way too early (and yeah that is definitely their fault) but why must we make a thing out of this all the time? Just let it go and when it's finally time it will be time.

It looks terrible. XIII-2 was fun but it completely screwed the story up, if they're not even going to focus on the story and other characters then I'm not going to buy it.

I can understand why Versus XIII is taking so long to develop. Remember what square-enix said 2 years ago : "Final Fantasy VII remake would take 10+ years to make".
Now let's just remember what was headlined yesterday: Square Enix CEO wants Final Fantasy Versus XIII to give you “that nostalgic, ‘this is FF!’ feeling”.
So Versus XIII will come sometime in the future but with at least 3 blu-ray discs of content confirmed.

They showed the game clearly way too early (and yeah that is definitely their fault) but why must we make a thing out of this all the time? Just let it go and when it's finally time it will be time.

We are just excited about this game considering how good it looks, it should be the highest priority, but instead, they announce 2 FF games and keep using the resources on another projects like XIV and portable games.

But you're right really, there's just no use.

From a business perspective. I understand why they are doing this. XIV has the potential to far exceed Versus in terms of revenue. If they succeed with A Realm Reborn it's another cash cow.
