Sony PS Vita owners have been unhappy especially in North American since the system was released with how few games there are to choose from.  Right now, there are only a total of  9 PSOne in the North American PS Vita store for download.  In Europe there is already more than 100 games that people can download from the original PlayStation One system.

Sony added this functionality to the PS Vita in the 1.8 firmware update by allowing people to transfer PS1 titles to their PS3 and then to the PS Vita.  Sony attempted to explain this major issue to their customers with the following statement.

“Each territory is completely unique and must go through its own individual processes for approvals in order to be available for purchase directly on PS Vita through PlayStation Store. We work collaboratively with all parties involved, including third party publishers, to ensure that we are following the proper protocol. As of right now, there are nine PS one classics titles available on the PS Vita store, however we are working hard to expand this list as soon as possible.”

So what do all of you think? Should Sony work harder to get more PSOne titles on the PS Vita store?

Keep em coming!

I just don't get it took so long for Sony to get PS1 classics in the first place...should've been available from the get go...and are the PS vita store and PS3 store not connected? I know I bought wild arms but if I want to download it from the vita I have to pay...I know I can just copy, but just throwing it out there.

They are connected. If you are using the same account it keeps track of what you have purchased. The stores though are different stores and apparently as different systems they have to jump through the hoops that they did with PS3 again. Which is probably why it took so long.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

thanks for clearing that, I have the same account for both my PS3 and Vita, I wish Sony would just enable downloads from your download list....for some reason my vita does not detect my copy for grandia when I go to copy...and I don't want to pay for it  again...

i would buy a Vita for this...and thats not a good sign imo...
anyway, i just have a question
are Star ocean, Chrono cross and Parasite Eve 2 available?

Well I can't vouche for the reliability of the download list on Vita, at least on PS3 you can download Vita games so there isn't anything that can't be downloaded on a PS3. There is a fail safe. If you go to grandia you will notice a red shopping bag next to the buy button indicated you have already purchased it. So instead of charging you it will download it when you click buy. If you are still worried about it know that they will always ask you to confirm any purchase after clicking the buy button in the store, but as I said that shouldn't happen.

yes to CC and PE2 at least on the US store. No to Star Ocean, but you can get retail copies of both the original and the sequel for PSP, their kinda remakes, but having played them both there pretty good

Is the pricing fair or Nintendo style ?

If every game is 5$ and under, I have just found my xmas gift from my gf.

There's so many cool games on PSone. Just Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy and Tekken offer a great replay value...
