Konami finally puts effort into a Wii game CONFIRMED!
Thank god they didn't hand this game off to a third-rate development team like they did Elebits and Dewy.

I saw a similar video on youtube showing off the controls. I thought they looked good but some people commenting say the controls look confusing and now that I see it again I'm starting to see that too. It still looks like it'll be very fun so I'll wait for some reguler people to play it first before I can see if it's good or not.

and speaking of which, when PES 2009 comes out, is it in September or is it gonna be in December? coz it would seem kind of stupid if i get it in March and another version comes out in September.

Looks like it's a good effort from Konami on the Wii...
But...
1) It's the 2008 version which got released on other systems a few months back. So everyone who wants it already owns it for another console... Or prefers Fifa.
2) People prefer playing PES on Playstation consoles due to the fact that is where the series started and people are used to that controlscheme.
3) Although the controlscheme may be revolutionary and in the end 'work better' it seems that it will take some time for people to get used to or become good at the game with these 'new' controlls.
= The game will not sell good... Resulting in Konami blaiming Nintendo's console for it and Wii not getting PES09... I think... But i hope it doesn't turn out that way!

While I agree with what you say here generally, I personally think that a company like Konami will shift its resources for PES towards Wii. PES was always the sim and fifa the arcade version. I think that Konami would rather keep their sim image and bleed a little money than just give up on Wii. I guess the Xbox360 and PS3 versions could fund the Wii version even if it doesn't sell well.
Makes me want to play some starcraft!
