Good for next-gen, WiiU won't be drowned by shovelware from EA, good.

EA will never figure out how to get their new Madden physics engine running on Wii U

Just to sell 200k copies, why would they? It is not worth the effort.

Exactly. If they get mediocre sales from putting in no effort now, they get their excuse to neglect the console for the rest of the generation.

It makes perfect sense

The conspiracy continues!!!

Can't wait i better set aside 400-500 bucks for the next gen. Actually i should set aside $1100 for both the PS4 and Next Xbox.

I wander what they mean by rocky start on X360 and PS3. Specifically, what games didn't meet the expectations commercially?

Off the top of my head I can only come up with one EA early generation game, MoH Airborne, that was a huge failure.

Even if you look at EA's latest financials there are quarters where they are making a lot of money on the X360 and PS3 and a lot where they're losing money.  They've spent a lot of money on software infrastructure for this generation of HD consoles.

It seems to me that profits are in (brackets) in this chart, and losses not, since that is the way they corespond to quarters they posted profits and losses.

It is just that they collectively lost market share to Activision at the start of the gen. Activision and EA being the two biggest publishers. Take Two would be third i'd assume.

Yes, but I still don't see what that has to do with EA having Frostbite in the coming console gen transition.

Just marketing lingo. We didn't do good because blah but now we have frostbite. So yea!!!
