Forums - Sony - The real reason the ps3 controller is better than the Xbox 360 controller.

Thanks for shoving your opinion down my throat and trying to claim it as fact. I in my opinion prefer the 360 controller design over the Playstation controller design. Just as I preferred the Gamecube design over the Playstation design. What's comfortable for you may not be comfortable for me. Vice versa. There is no fact in which controller is better.

Funny enough i think both controllers need to be a bit more like each other....

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

both controllers are good but i think dualshock is the overall best. 360 controller is designed to feel good with shooters. anything else just feels awkward. recently been playing arkham city on both and gliding feels so much better with a dualshock 3.

In your opinion.  Quit spouting opinion as fact.  I prefer the 360 controller design for everything.  But that's  me.  Like I said, what feels right for you doesn't feel the same for someone else.  All a matter of feel.

I agree with this.

I have never, EVER, used the pressure sensitive capability of the PS controller. The games that use it always have alternative method of control. The 1/8 inch press is not enough distance to be useful for analogue control. Like the Six Axis the pressure sensitive buttons were a good idea that I just didn't bother with.

The bolded makes it pretty clear that it's his opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was the Gamecube controller (again ! sry...) that introduced the pressure sensitive shoulder buttons. But it was barely used, I think FZero GX and Wave Race Blue Storm used it.

Imho it's a very nice feature in racing games because if feels like an advancing gameplay tweaking, and I kinda like that. However, I hated its use in Heavy Rain. Maybe an underrated gameplay features...

where did i say that it was a FACT that the dualshock is better? your right, it is all a matter of feel and i dont have giant monster hands so the 360 controller doesnt feel right to me.

You shouldn't have to specify that you are speaking an opinion. When you use words like better and best it should be pretty evident that you are speaking an opinion. You can't discredit someone by trying to say they are using their opinion as fact because all you are doing is misrepresent their argument.
