That's your detailed analysis?

There was more but if I posted it all then people would just see a wall of text and ignore my thread. I therefore decided to post my key argument and let people make up their own minds.

I for one hope not

It depends on if an internal team is already making it for current gen. Motomu Toriyama (head of the FFXIII and FFXIII-2 team) has said that his team plans to move on to next-gen after their current project (FFXIII-3). Therefore, FFXV will be last for this gen and FFXVI will by Toriyama's team and be the first for next-gen.

"A detailed analysis that indicates FFXV will release on current gen hardware"

That analysis is anything but detailed. And it doesn't indicates FFXV will release on current gen harware...

the only option of it doing so is if FFvsXIII becomes FFXV

Well, as I've said, if there's a secret team already making FFXV then it could still come out this gen.

No. Their big Final Fantasy game is Versus and another big game is XIII-3. I don't think they really have room for another one. They're also working on XIV and X HD so do they really have a team for XV too?

Yeah, XIII-3, Versus, XIV and X HD... Thats enough for this gen, which will end somewhere in 2013. Especially that they showed us tech demo for next gen, which can suggest that they're making something for next gens already.

Remember when they released three original formula sequel Final Fantasy games on PSone? Those were the days.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Hiroyuki Ito (FFXII director) is working on a large-scale project for his gen. This game has yet to be announced yet so could be FFXV.

They haven't started next-gen development yet. That's been confirmed by Motomu Toriyama (FFXIII and FFXIII-2 director). He said that his team will be the first to start using their new engine for a game after they finish their current project (FFXIII-3).
